Tracy and Joules Parrott

Back

Tracy and her husband, Joules, subscribed to Spoonfed Suppers after they noticed a friend talking about the healthy eating plan on Facebook. Tracy, 33 and a special needs teacher, says, “The meal planner appealed to me instantly”. Like so many people in London, Tracy and Joules have a long working day, sandwiched between a tiring commute. They used to stop in Marks and Spencer most nights after work to buy dinner and cumulatively spent a lot of money on instant meals. Although they always intended to cook, they stumbled at the planning and shopping hurdle.

Tracy thinks that the most difficult and time-consuming aspect of cooking an evening meal is the thinking. Even by lunchtime, she was overwhelmed by all the questions brewing in her head on the subject of dinner, such as: What do I feel like eating? What do I have in my cupboard now? Have I run out of the tarragon I bought several months ago? What on earth do I do with the contents of my organic box? What tube line shall I travel home on to get the ingredients I need for what I am going to eat tonight? Luckily, she says, “The Spoonfed Suppers meal planner and healthy eating plan takes away all of this, and allows me to focus on the teaching job which I love, and want to devote my during-the-day thinking to.”

Tracy and Joules’ evenings are now fuss-free too. Given that they are always stocked up on staples, once they approve their personal healthy eating plan, they only need to purchase the fresh items on the updated shopping list. Since the meal planner has removed all the grind of putting dinner on the table, their evening routine is now a quick and easy one: They walk through the door, knowing that they have everything they need and so enjoy the actual cooking process. “The music goes on, the bottle of wine comes out, and we are in end-of-the-day heaven,” Joules says. But doesn’t it still take time to whip up a supper? Tracy counters, “People who claim that they do not have time to cook are wrong. It doesn’t take much longer to knock-up one of Spoonfed Supper's delicious dinners, than it does to heat up a carton of soup, or make a sandwich.”

Tracy and Joules enjoy a busy lifestyle juggling work, commuting, partying and gigs (they both DJ). For them, the Spoonfed Suppers healthy eating plan bends and flexes with their routine, whether they are eating out for a night, hosting a dinner party or using up leftovers. “It’s so simple,” says Joules. But moreover, they enjoy their free time more than ever. Tracy says, “I really believe the Spoonfed Suppers meal planner supports a heightened sense of personal self-esteem. On some days, after work, I would be a slob on the sofa with a take away.” Now she says, they spend more quality time together and she feels her complexion is clearer and she has shifted a few pounds.

Tracy and Joules married in July of 2010 and enjoyed a romantic 3-week honeymoon adventure inter-railing through Europe, indulging in ice cream in Italy and fondue in Switzerland. Tracy says that the Spoonfed Suppers healthy eating plan has very much been part of their renewed healthy routine and blissful first year of marriage.
